Best Myanmar guide out there.

Worth the wait for this first release. Detailed, thorough, comprehensive. Detail on fantastic sites I didn't even know existed in Myanmar. Eyewitness does it again. Lonely Planet takes a back seat yet again...

Best Myanmar travel guide, but already contains outdated information

I've read both this and the Lonely Planet versions, and both seem very good -- about 4 star each. I'd give the slight edge to this book, but I find it disappointing you can already find outdated information here. For example, this book states that you have to apply for a visa through the Myanmar Embassy. No longer true -- they introduced an e-visa system that started as long ago as September 2014. I know some things are hard to keep up to date (e.g. the quality of some remote hotel), but that's a pretty obvious and easy fix.
Never the less, this is the best book out there, but keep in mind some info may be out of date already.

Great pictures

Great for planning. Myanmar (or Burma) is still opening it self to the world, so things are changing there very quickly.
This is the standard DK guide with beautifull pictures and not so good recommendations of hotels and restaurants (always on the $$$$$$ side).
