I am tired of wanna be pick up artists, and people who steal others ideas. I liked alot of the thoughts in this book, but they were all taken from others original thoughts. This book read more like a book review, and the author has a pretentious attitude toward some of my all time favorite authors.

Not horrible but not really anything worth applying on a woman. The book went in so many directions that I couldn't keep up with the purpose. The author acts like it is a book for picking up women in some parts but then it pretends to focus on relationships. 2 different things man.

Content good, but....

The content of this book is good, and I found it helpful. I disagree that you need a PhD to understand it. To me, it seemed as if a complex subject was actually simplified. If enough people would approach relationships in this manner, we'd have fewer broken homes and heartache. However, since I'm a writer, myself, I was too often distracted by very poor sentence construction at times and the obvious need for a good editing job. It's wonderful when someone with expertise in a field shares his knowledge with a broad audience, but a good book should also be edited for grammatical errors and awkward sentences.

Simply Fantastic! a Must for any fantasy reader fan, Very well written & the artist does a superb job bringing the action to life. only disappointment was in the end when you realize there won't be any more continued adventures of fell's five.....

Over too soon

While I'm a big fan of D&D, and now Pathfinder, I've rarely read a D&D comic that I enjoyed. This is one of the few that I really, REALLY have. The characters were fantastic, the writing was crisp and fun, and the art was top notch. It was an utter shame that it was cancelled. Fell's Five had a lot of stories left to tell, and they were gone too soon. While I already own this comics in the 3 hard cover volumes for the story arcs, when I saw this one, I knew I was going to have to get it as well.

While this was something put out in the 4e era, and certainly has some 4e sensibilities in the characters and monsters, this is just a good, fun to read, D&D comic. No 4e knowledge or appreciation is needed. I wasn't a fan of 4e at all, but for me that simply didn't matter when reading this comic. It was just that good.

Great comic with a swashbuckling sense of fun and adventure. Dialogue is snappy and often clever, as are most of the plotlines and characters. It's a genuine pity that the series did not continue, it was one of my favorite surprise finds of recent times.

Terrific Textbook!

I give this book a 5 because it covers all the conceivable topics within Urban Economics with a fair amount of attention to each topic/chapter. The author does something interesting which has inspired me to further my own research -- the research questions at the end of the chapters (different from the chapter questions). These research questions encourage the reader/student to take the material learned from that chapter and go beyond the scope of what was discussed. That is a great tool to learn, and I believe that more textbooks should be as inclusive as this by Professor Edwards!
The author is also so incredibly well-read, that the references to each chapter might as well be "a compendium of all possible sources within urban economics" -- which is great because then someone can go beyond the textbook to start researching on his/her own (her references sections are far more exhaustive than any other textbook on urban economics).

Overall, this book was fantastic! I use it regularly!

A highly recommended read

This is my first book of inspirational poetry. All the poems contained in this book speaks about love, faith, hope, and gratitude. I love the way how the author vividly communicates her feelings in simple structured verses that inspires me, as a reader. Since I got this book, it has been my companion wherever I go. One poem read daily gives me such inspiration to go on with life. I am sure that whoever gets hold of this "one of a kind" book will never let go.

The Rosicrucians: The History, Mythology and Rituals of an Occult Order

I picked this book up randomly, and discovered a very deep rich history an a very obscure Brotherhood that is still prevelant in many forms (including Scientology). McIntosh has done his homework, and he is very thorough in his explanation. However, I would not recommend this book to anyone that isn't familiar with Esotericim in general, particularly around Germany in the 1500's. McIntosh throws quite a few names around and many, and combined with the many, many facets of Rosicrucianism, can be enough to make your head spin.

This book by somebody named Mac Christie doesn't mention *my* particular Rosicrucian order, which is the only *true* Rosicrucian order, and it doesn't spell the Great Incantation *backwards* in esoterick Latin, and therefore cannot be trusted as a reliable source. Another Luciferic operative from the Sethian Egregore.

If first sentence of a book begins: "Charles Darwinian evolution in 1859 is intrinsically a so bust search and optimization mechanism," you know you are in trouble.

This book is both lively and thorough for an introduction. The organization of the book felt natural and made it easier to acquire the material. The authors were clearly knowledgeable and I'd give them five stars, it was a pleasure to read in terms of content.

However, in terms of style, there are numerous typos which can be distracting. Examples include "fro" instead of "for" (page 34), "than" instead of "that" (page 26), and "subjective" instead of "surjective" (page 40), with the later example being particularly unfortunate in that students with light backgrounds in mathematics might not be able to discern the correct meaning. There are also occasional grammatical cul-de-sacs which left me puzzled and guessing the exact meaning of a sentence.

This book has no index. For such a high price, one might expect at least some perfunctory editing and at the very least an index. The excellent content of the book was done a disservice by Springer's poor publication in this case.

Given the strength of the content, though, I'd still recommend this book.

What the who?

I was psyched to get this book but it is, as an earlier reviewer mentioned, unreadable. It seems as though someone tried to translate English to English but had a very hard time. For example, the first sentence of the book mentions a "so bust" search and optimization method. I imagine that would be a robust search and optimization method. This error is not so bad compared to other puzzlers throughout the text. The material seems like it is really good but the text reads more like, well, a comedy of errors. Indeed, as it is written, it is kind of funny. I think sales of the book would go through the roof if they released an edited version in English. I give it two stars for its comedic value and potential.
